If your answer no then this lesson designed based on this concept where students learn using hash tag feature and it supporting mobile learning technology. This a great tool to create a social community for students where they share world, trigger event and practice.

The following video is a great example of a teacher who implement the use of twitter in the classroom.

After watching this video go to our moodle site and log in.
Start with 60 ways to use twitter in the classroom book and try to find the best ways the you could use twitter with.
Then you will lean how to use your twitter account especially the hash tag.

Task 2:- discussions on social media networking

How was your last task, I hope you enjoy it. Now, I am expecting from you to do a discussion on Moodle about Twitter vs Facebook vs Google+ after watching the embedded video. If you did it then you are ready to go for the second task which will be finding approaches on how to integrate this social networking in your E-portfolio or in the classroom and drop the file word into the Assignment drop box.

These two tasks would not take more than two hours and if you have any question you are free to ask.

Good luck

According to Business Horizons book, “Social networking sites are applications that enable users to connect by creating personal information profiles, inviting friends and colleagues to have access to those profiles, and sending e-mails and instant messages between each other” (Kaplan & Haenlein, 2010).

The following inforgraphic is a great example how some social media networking such as Facebook, twitter, YouTube and WordPress connect with each other and how can all these used in the teaching.
